License Terms

ArtSoft software has been developed with an active community of volunteers, testers, and helpful experts who have guided its development over a period of years. In appreciation to this community, a registered user is permitted to use all versions of Mach software with one license.  Non-commercial users (aka hobbyists) are permitted to use one license for as many machines as they want.  For commercial users (anybody who uses the software to generate profit), we require a separate license purchase for each machine.  Mach1, Mach2, and Mach3 may all be used on one computer, but only one version of each will co-exist on a single computer.

A license is only required on the computer(s) actually running the machine(s). If a computer not connected to a machine is used to test code, please use Mach3 in Simulation mode - it will remove the 500 line limit.  Simulation mode can be accessed by uninstalling (or not installing) the Parallel Port Driver.

Policies

Refund Policy

It is the nature of internet licensing that refunds are impossible - once a license is generated it is not possible to be "returned".  Therefore, please utilize the Demo versions of the software to ensure the program you purchase is applicable to your needs beforehand as ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Newfangled Solutions LLC may refund purchases in special circumstances, but only at the discretion of Newfangled Solutions LLC.

Privacy Policy

All personal information gathered in the process of licensing is used solely to keep track of that users name for relicensing upon request. Any license may be re-issued at request from this data. No data or names are shared with any other vendors or parties. We respect the privacy of all parties who enter this site.

Replacement License Policy

Replacement licenses for direct purchases are available upon request, provided that we are provided with the valid name and/or email address used to make the purchase.  Replacements for licenses that were not purchased directly from us, but were instead purchased through an OEM or reseller must be made to that respective OEM or reseller.

License Transfers

Licenses are non-transferrable. This includes both as a standalone item, or as part of a machine sale. If licenses are being purchased on behalf of another party, please include the desired license name in the appropriate Comments field during checkout.

Support

PDF manuals and training videos are available.  Technical support is available via the Forum or though our Yahoo users group, allowing the entire community to contribute to, and benefit from, the solutions.  Questions about licensing or purchasing issues can be directed to license@machsupport.com.

Blacklisted Licenses

License piracy happens, and we quickly blacklist any license that we find freely available on the internet.  Certain licenses have also been blacklisted because OEMs accidentally gave "internal use" licenses out to customers.  Whatever the reason, blacklisted licenses are not supported and not eligible for upgrades.  If you have a blacklisted license, and feel that you should have a legitimate license, you will need to contact the person you purchased the license from - Newfangled Solutions will not replace blacklisted licenses.

Delivery

When registering, users will receive a personalized, encrypted license file via email which will unlock all versions of the software.  This file is typically emailed within 24 hours (usually far less), although it may be a bit longer on weekends and holidays.  If you do not receive your license after 24 hours, please check any Bulk/Spam/Junk mail folders that you may have (the license sometimes gets filtered).  If you still do not see it, please send an email inquiry to license@machsupport.com.  If you do not receive a response to your inquiry, it is because it was blocked by a spam filter - in such a case, please send another email including an alternate email address (preferably a webmail address, such as Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo, etc.), or leave a message on the forum.

Hardcopies (3rd Party)

Nothing is shipped with your license purchase.  License files are emailed to you and the software is available for download from the Downloads page.  However, there is a 3rd party service by which you can purchase an ArtSoft USA software CD.  This CD includes all documentation and tutorial videos, as well as extra programs, Plugins, and also your license file (if desired).  It's cost is very reasonable and is updated regularly to ensure latest versions are included.

Additional Software

Mill Wizard (Beta):

Unlike our popular Mach3 Addons, the Mill Wizard is a stand-alone program used to create G-code for milling parts.  Simple parts are easy to create by doing basic operations, and chaining multiple operations together can be used to create more complex parts.  The Mill Wizard is designed to fill the gap between writing G-code manually and using more traditional CAM software.

Mach3 Addons:

The Addons require a licensed copy of Mach3 in order to function properly.

The Mach3 Addons license enables several different Mach3 wizards: CopyCat, Multi Pass, PowerFeed XY, and the Mach3 Addons for Mill (aka the Newfangled wizards) and NFSTurn wizards, which are a solution for using Mach3's wizard capability to simplify the creation of G-Code files.  All of these packages will minimize the time it takes to go from "start to part".  Demonstration versions - which allow you to run through the actual wizards, chaining operations and generating toolpaths - are included in the default Mach3 installation.  They will not, however, generate a final Gcode file.

LazyCam Pro (DEAD PROJECT):

Due to the availability of other, more mature, low cost CAM packages, LazyCam development has ceased and it will remain in permanent Beta status. LazyCam is not intended - and not supported - for use in a production environment.

LazyCam is a beta-release importer included with Mach3.  Its purpose is to import standard dxf, cmx, and other file types to allow those that do not use CAM programs to more easily generate Gcode to be run under Mach3.  The free edition of LazyCam that is included with Mach3 carries no cost.  However, there is an optional Pro level upgrade that turns on advanced features such as object offsetting, pocketing, etc.

Payment Options

The preferred payment options are via Credit Card or PayPal (Note: PayPal does *not* require registration and will accept all major credit cards). These methods generate an automatic notification when a payment is received, so no further action is required.

If you have not already done so, please download, install, and USE the software *before* you purchase a license. Mach3 is capable of running a machine in Demo mode...

If licenses are being purchased on behalf of another party, please include the desired license name in the appropriate Comments field during checkout.  Otherwise, licenses will be generated using the name of the purchaser.

Compliance with Export Control Laws

These licenses are subject to United States export controls. These licenses may not be purchased or otherwise exported or re-exported into (or to a national or resident of): Cuba, Iran, Libya, North Korea, Sudan, Syria or any other country to which the United States has embargoed goods; or any organization or company on the United States Commerce Department's "Denied Parties List." By purchasing any of these licenses, you are agreeing to the foregoing and all applicable export control laws. You are also warranting that you are not under the control of, located in, or a resident or national of any such country or on any such list.

Alternate Payment Options

For people unable, or unwilling, to purchase online, we offer alternative methods of payment.  Neither of these methods generates an automatic notification, so it is necessary to inform us by emailing license@machsupport.com.  We reserve the right to withhold sending any license files until the money has successfully entered our accounts.

Direct Bank Transfer:

We highly recommend using one of the electronic purchase methods above if at all possible.  Our bank transfer details are very complex, and typically take 7-10 business days to complete.  However, if there is no other alternative, please contact us for the required information. Bank transfers are subject to an additional $50 processing fee.
